Ephrata Woldeamanuel
Ephrata is a 16-year-old junior in Plymouth, Minnesota. She is interested in writing and thus have published a historical novel. She has a strong interest in talking about political issues and is a high school debate captain. She’s interested in advocating for and educating others about youth rights, especially the rights of Black youth in the United States. This is because she believes that in many U.S. institutions, Black students and youth are marginalized, excluded, negatively stereotyped, and face challenges that can make it harder for them to succeed.
Ephrata joined NYRA in July 2026 and currently works on the Research team.
