NYRA volunteer speaking to another young person about youth rights during a tabling eventOur volunteers help us to educate others about youth rights.

Our volunteer program is designed for individuals, of any age, who want to help us fight ageism throughout the United States. As a volunteer you will be able to use and develop your skills in a variety of areas including research, writing, promotion, and outreach. Volunteers can either work independently or as part of a team and have the opportunity to focus on issues that are important to them. Volunteers are able to work from home and set their own schedule.

Internships

NYRA also operates an internship program that allows interns to select and lead key projects in any of our focus areas or design their own projects under supervision. Our interns have used our program for academic credit, volunteer service hours, or for just gaining valuable experience. Our internships are unpaid and operate throughout the year with flexible start and end dates.
