A day ago, NYRA’s website was hacked by an outside person or group. These people added files with malicious content to every directory, sub-directory, sub-sub directory, and so on!

When the horrible situation was first noticed, Alex Koroknay-Palicz contacted NYRA’s technical staff. This group of people, Alex Koroknay-Palicz, Jason Kende, Jim Pleger, Rich Jahn, and Chris Batchelor, spent their entire day working to resolve this problem.

This group of people are a special bunch, and I am very grateful for the time and effort they spent on this. They did not have to, but they wanted to. It was their choice. These people worked hours and hours on Friday and Saturday morning to bring NYRA back to normal operations.

I offer my accolades and best wishes to these important people, and I also offer my thanks to Thomas from UN Site Solutions.

Without these people, NYRA’s website would still be down, and it would not be possible for you to read this right now.
