Last week NYRA published our comprehensive section on Medical and Behavioral Treatment rights. It’s the fifth issue section on our website and the second since we unveiled our new site a year ago.

Young people are denied the right to bodily integrity, so NYRA believes that medical consent is equally important to other youth rights issues. Our section includes pages on who decides what a mental disorder is, the “Troubled Teen” industry, and the legal status of medical consent. We would like to thank all of our volunteers who helped us write this section:

Anne Sheridan

Jacob Dennis

Jona Makhani

Kaitlyn Kirkman

Rebekah Villanti

Riley Healey

Sebastian Barajas

Tyler Thunder

Willem Mills

Thank you so much for your contributions to youth rights!

By the end of the year, we hope to complete our website with another three issue sections so that YouthRights.org will be a comprehensive argument for why youth deserve fully equal rights to adults and how it’s possible to achieve that. If you’re interested in helping us you can fill out our volunteer application and we’ll be in touch!
