Many curfew laws have exceptions that allow individuals to be out past curfew if they are exercising their First Amendment rights or participating in a political protest. Wearing an anti-curfew sticker is a protest against the law, to stop you would be in violation of the law. So make lots of stickers and wear them whenever you go out past curfew. Encourage your friends to do the same.
Begin fighting back against your curfew by making and distributing anti-curfew stickers. Make your own stickers by downloading our sticker templates, which are saved as Adobe Acrobat files:
Get the message out that the curfew law is wrong and must be stopped! Print these stickers out on label paper before distributing them widely and putting them up around town. The more people who believe "Hanging out is not a Crime" the easier curfews will be to defeat.
As a political activist, you must know your rights. No one can stop you from peacefully distributing political literature on public property. Public property includes all parks, sidewalks, streets, etc. The people who patrol these areas may try to stop you but they are breaking the law if they do. You may have legal recourse if they prevent you from distributing.
Even though your school is a public school, your administrators and teachers may have the right to stop you from distributing literature on school grounds. If you are stopped, then distribute the flyers on the sidewalk directly in front of your school. You do not need to walk down the block or stand across the street from your school.
