This one-page info sheet produced by the state of Maryland is an excellent tool to combat age discrimination in the state. It clearly defines what illegal age discrimination is according to Maryland state civil rights law.
The sheet specifically says: “Unlike Federal law, Article 49B does not specify a minimum age requirement for protection under State law.”
Meaning even youth are protected by the law. Youth Rights supporters in the state are encouraged to distribute this sheet to businesses throughout the state, whether they discriminate or not.
