I hate to be nitpicky but could you please call it NYRA-Albany. There are many capital chapters.![]()
thanks.
If you're interested in helping start the NYRA Capital Region Chapter, there is a meeting on Wednesday, July 7th at 3:00 p.m.. The meeting will be held at Corning Preserve - Albany Riverfront Park (in Albany, NY). Meet at the pavillion.
We will be discussing the beginning of the Chapter, and also our first task as a chapter, which will almost certainly be the Crossgates Mall policy going into effect July 15th.
Come, and bring your friends and ideas!
Any changes made or extra info requested/required will be provided as it becomes available.

Thing is, none of us are from Albany proper.

Well what city is it actually based in? If it is based in Albany, then it is properly NYRA-Albany.

Be sure to post to the NYRA-Northeast list too. NYRA-Northeast@yahoogroups.com

There are 5 bullet points about writing letters to the editor, the longest one is about being concise. - Eric talking about a new draft of the chapter handbook.
We don't have enough members in a single place to base ourselves there.

We already decided this on IM, so I'll make it official: We will be NYRA-Albany because that's where we can meet and that's where the State Legislature is.

I couldn't make it to this one, but be sure to announce all your future meetings. I might come to some.

Our NYRA-DC chapter is not exclusive to Washington, DC. Spreads into all surrounding areas as well.

"I've never understood what it is about having sex that makes women dirty. I can recall countless conversations I've had or overheard over the years about women's supposed sexual dirtiness. Struggling with the irrationality of it all, I've often wondered how it's possible that a penis could have such power, that by merely being in the vicinity of a woman's genitals, it could transfer some kind of ambiguous filth onto us. Or perhaps women are just born dirty, and the sex merely reinforces our sullied selves' true nature." -Jessica Valenti
It's that time again. New entry every day in December! Because I'm awesome and stuff.
Summer: Glad to hear it!I'll be sure to pass this info on to the Vermont chapter; I think a couple of our officers might know some people in the Albany region who would be interested.

Is Croton anywhere near Albany? I don't think so, but the more the merrier!Originally Posted by SDavidson

Sorry about the whole Capital Region/Albany dilemma (which is not nitpicky), but I'm glad to see y'all worked it out. I had been wondering about that.
However, I can't quite figure how to change the big title on the Thread List. Any help on that one?
Otherwise, thanks for the advice and the promised spreading of the word.

Just ask SciVille, ReturnoftheJ355, Anduwaithe, KPalicz, or Yasha to do it.
