In Florida, anyway. I just need seven hundred thousand signatures to get a lower voting age on the ballot. First, though, I need to register a political committee, so ANYONE ELSE IN FLORIDA should offer help so I'm not the only one on said committee. The petition form is attached, but you'll note that there IS NO SERIAL NUMBER, because it hasn't yet been approved. Therefore, it SHOULD NOT be circulated.

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

At the end of the day, it's a voter registration, not a driver's license, that matters.

Are there any surveys that say what percentage of people support lowering the voting age?

It'll come from the ballot.

If only a small minority of people support lowering the voting age why would you bother?
…unless you were doing it just to raise awareness of the issue. But getting that many signatures is a really time consuming way to go about it.
Actually, come to think of it, getting the issue on the ballot is probably not a good way to do it at all.
Although I could be wrong, this is the way I see it:
There are many people who are mostly indifferent to lowering the voting age. If you pressed them for an answer, they would say they are against it, but they would not vote against a politician solely because that politician supported lowering the voting age.
Now, for a law to be passed by a popular ballot, it would need the majority of people to vote for it.
However, if you can organize people to vote for primary candidates that support lowering the voting age, you can get around that problem. You can have a passionate minority overrule the opinion of an indifferent majority.
Did I explain that well?

The legislature can't lower the voting age. We have to rally the people for this! (Sorry it took awhile to reply; I meant to save the thread to reply but forgot.)

Wait, why can't the legislature lower the voting age?
I just looked at the Florida constitution and it says this:
"Every citizen of the United States who is at least eighteen years of age and who is a permanent resident of the state, if registered as provided by law, shall be an elector of the county where registered."
It says they can't stop you from voting if you are over 18. It doesn't say that they can't just pass a law saying that the voting age should be 16.
Am I right about this?

If that interpretation is allowed, the voting age is already sixteen.

No, because there is still this law:
http://www.flsenate.gov/STATUTES/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=Ch0097/SEC041.HTM&Title=-%3E2009-%3ECh0097-%3ESection%20041#0097.041
(1)(a) A person may become a registered voter only if that person: 1. Is at least 18 years of age;
This law could be overridden by a simple majority vote of the Florida legislature.

So true. I don't think a driver's license should be a pre-requisite for casting a ballot. Non-drivers have just as much at stake in elections as drivers, though you have to admit, having a driver's license does make getting to the voter polling stations a little easier, assuming you do drive there!
