Can I wear a shirt to school that has the Gadsden flag on it?

Just curious. Is it considered free-speech? What if I'm told to take it off?

I would certainly consider it free speech. Wear it. If you're told to take it off, say "No, thank you."

If they punish you for refusing, sue the crap out of them. The ACLU may be willing to provide a free lawyer. If not, hire one on a contingency so you don't have to pay him anything unless you win. Or you might find a lawyer willing to work pro bono. Hunt around.

Also, if they punish you for wearing the shirt, be sure to let NYRA know. In the past, NYRA has made institutions sorry for violating students' rights.
