Todd, I'm sorry you had these difficulties. The corrected version of your ballot was never received. Our office is currently short-staffed, and some emails to our general email box get overlooked – but every single email sent to [email protected] was read and responded to, as that was the email address where we asked people to send questions or concerns about the election. Your corrected ballot never arrived there.
I'm very sorry you had this difficulty. While NYRA will never be perfect, we will work harder to avoid such an issue in the future.

Ok, I'm sorry for being a grammer nazi, but maybe, hear me out, you might have gotten more votes if your entire bio wasn't written like a text message, I mean yeah I get it, people shouldn't care how proper you spell things, its the information thats in the words, not the words themselves, but its the same reason you don't show up for a job interview in your birthday suit; Sure In theory, It shouldn't matter if your naked or not, it should be about experience and how qualified you are, but if you show up in your birthday suit, your more likely to get arrested than hired. And yes I do know my spelling isn't angelic and holy, In fact, I can see Galens dissaproving stare as I type this, but when I read things in text talk the voice in my head is that annoying alien from star wars, and I hate that alien.
Â
And people; stop with the conspiracy theorys ; You know who I'm talking to (Hint, I'm talking to everyone)
Â
Certain NYRA people are NOT trying to rig the NYRA Election to have you lose, NYRA has beem on bad footing ever since Alex left and took all his secretive secrets for running NYRA with him, Its like if you gave me a car and told me to drive it, I mean yeah, I know the basics, but I've never driven a car before and I don't have a drivers licence. We're short on staff, funding, and a drivers manual, and people are going to make more mistakes than normal, just like if you told me to drive a car I would probably crash it. Also certain NYRA people are NOT trying to get elected to NYRA just to get elected to NYRA, The people who ran for NYRA in the past and in the present did what they did because they thought they we're truely helping the cause. Why would you run for NYRA if you didn't want to help it? People do make mistakes, we're far from perfect, but at least they we're trying to help. We're all on the same team. We all support youth rights. So stop with the evil glares and start focusing on something productive, like protesting! It's been a hard year, we did much better in earlier years, lets get over it. It's a new year, a new board, a new start. Yesterday is yesterday, lets focus on tomorrow
Â
And yes, I do realize that if your conspiracy theorys were correct that might explaing why I lost the election; Except I can explain why I lost the election. Firstly, God didn't want me to win, or my sub-conscious, depending on whether you are an atheist or not, Second, I've only been here for a year, and not only have I only been here for a year, I'm one of those annoying stalker people who reads the NYRA forum archives, so I somewhat know what went on back then, Thirdly I'm mysterious and untrustable (and wayyy too neutral). I usually try to maintain a poker face at all times cause I have this sort of fear of people being able to read my mind without me telling them how to read my mind. Plus, I just betrayed everyone, everyone though I was on their side in this ridiculous conflict, which is somewhat of a character flaw of mine, I'm neutral in almost everything (except what I view to be obvious) yet I don't want to upset anyone, so I try not to shout in everyones face telling everyone that everyone is wrong, but in the end I get so mad at everyone for fighting that I do shout at everyone tellling everyone that everyone is wrong, plus I live in Minnesota, What goes on in Minnesota? Only Minnesotans know. Adds to my mysterious untrustability, Everyone knows whats what in DC, but St. Paul?, Forthly I'm somewhat peculiar and excentric, and a little bit insain, my odd adverbs (I think their adverbs but they might be adjectives…?)Â (like youthrighysyness) are an extention of my all around weirdness. And Fifthly, I try to find explanations for everything and then use those explanations to solve everything, which I've been told can get annoying, especially If you happen to live with me. Â Seriously tho, I would have lost the election whether or not you thought the election was conpriafyed or not
Â
Also, Congradulatios to all the new NYRA board members, And good luck. I may or may not secretly unsecretly spy on or casually watch your board meetings  Also, please consider my dance for youth rights idea

I guess it's not obvious, but Alex actually left insanely detailed instructions for how to run NYRA. The problem is that instead of building off said instructions, that 5-member board faction attempted to purge our fundraiser Dave, interfere with our ED Bill, and then render the instructions useless by literally outlawing their recall election and not meeting for six months.
Â
Anyway I wanted you to win but I suppose I'll satiate myself by reading your Tumblr…

attempted to purge him? staff work for the board. if the board wants to purge or interfere, they may, that's what bosses do to employees. my understanding is most of the problems came from dave and bill trying to usurp board authority and refusing to accept when they were fired.

Sorry, King, but your understanding is wrong. Dave was not fired. Indeed, the very board members who undermined his work later whined about the way he abandoned us by quitting. I was never fired, either. Usi claimed I was, but the board passed a resolution clarifying that I was not.
Anyway, those problems are behind us now. We have a new BOD, and I'm confident this board will help NYRA recover from the setbacks of the last 12 months and lead NYRA to our best years to come.
