I recently got into an argument about the drinking age with a pro-21er. Apparently now, not only am I supposed to obey and respect the drinking age laws, but I'm supposed to actually be thankful that there are political groups and politicians who are so concerned about my safety.

dubious *facepalm*

We're at that point, folks. This is possibly an all-time low for shitty pro-21 arguments. Have you ever heard any worse arguments than this? I'm afraid to ask because I'm almost certain you have. I'd love to hear them as well as your thoughts regarding this particular one.

There's too much time to do nothing and too little time to do anything.

Sadly, it's all too common for ageists to rationalize their behavior as being in young people's best interests and even expect their victims to be grateful. It's right up there with, "You'll thank me for this later."

It's usually a clear example of "protesting too much."
