@Maxwell: Hi, I'm Amy I'm the President of NYRA Twin Cities, You've already met me grin, I'm the awesome one who emailed you!

 

This is the thread that I created when I wanted to create a Giant Chapter that encompassed all of Minnesota, but they convinced me that I should Start with a Normal, not giant Chapter, So I created NYRA Twin Cities. (And thats why everything involving NYRA Twin Cities says NYRA Minnesota)

That a giant mega chapter is called a state chapter. And once there are 5 chapters in a state you can make a state chapter smile

 

There are currently 2 NYRA Chapters in Minnesota; NYRA Twin Cities and NYRA Washington County

 

If you are a youth rights supporter in the Twin Cities Area, Awesome!, Contact Me and Join NYRA Twin Cities!

If you are a youth rights supporter in the Washington County Area, Spectacular! Contact Maxwell and Join NYRA Washington County!

If you are a youth rights supporter thats not in the Twin Cities or Washington County, Great! Contact the National Office and Start a New Chapter!

Ok, so since I last posted in this thread, lots of stuff has been happening awesomely in Minnesota, so I'm going to recap it for all of you.

 

First of all, if you are in Minnesota, and want to join a NYRA Chapter, we currently have two chapters in Minnesota.

 

The First one is the one that I (Amy) runs, NYRA Twin-Cities, which covers basically everywhere within realistic driving distance of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Currently we have been working on Voting Age lowering stuff because of the election, though in August, we partnered with the Hitting Stops Here to protest corporal punishment in the schools and to try to pass HR3027.

The Second one is the one that Max runs, NYRA Washington County, which covers Forest Lake High School and the rest of Washington County. They have currently been working on Voting Age lowering stuff because of the election, and recently their chapter got an opinion published in the Forest Lake Times (http://forestlaketimes.com/201…..t-to-vote/)

Alright then, so awesome stuff, Well on October 12th, NYRA Twin-Cities had it's first in-person meeting at Ramsey County Library Roseville, which is kind of a big deal because most of NYRA Twin-Cities Communications are Online, with most of its meetings happening in our tinychat, so it was really fun to be all awesome and IRL and stuff.

 

 

 

Also NYRA Washington County and NYRA Twin-Cities have been planning a protest for Votes for Youth, which may have possibly hit a road block because we might have accidentally missed the deadline for turning in protest permits, so we might have to postpone that…

 

And Finally, Tomorrow, Me and Max will have our 15 seconds of fame (Or more like one hour) As we will be on MTN Channel 17 and live streamed online from 7:00pm to 8:00pm Central Time on Friday 10/26/2012 talking about Youth and Politics!
