Hi,

I'm from Canada and I was wondering what happened to CYRA (Canadian Youth Rights Association) both times? I found some threads talking about restarting it but they're from 2004.

I don't know all the details (cause i was learning my ABC's when CYRA broke up) but what I've heard is basically 1 important dude committed suicide and it all fell apart from there…

…Out of curiousity… Why don't we have an IYRA? International Youth Rights Association?

There are plenty of other countries that have youth rights problems

We should make attaining Youth Rights an International Affair…

…Sure it would take a lot of google translate

…But if we could get global support

…And inspire other nations to have there own NYRA thing…

You know other (europian) nations are probably more likely to want to lower their voting ages

…(Remember, In the United States it's still legal to beat youth into submission)

Plus a lot of countries have major YR problems…

(Child Soldiers, Honor Killings, Mass Famine and Starvation…)

…And other countries are downright Youth Rights Fascist

(Certain Asian Countries…. (Stares at China (Then again, China is kinda across the board Fascist (At Least China is being consistant))))

Plus, CANADA IS AWESOME (Just felt the need to say that… (Or at least Canada is better than the US (Sorry, Minnesotan longing and anti patriotism (NESTED PARENTHASES)))

I guess how do we start on doing such an endeavor because I do believe we need an more international youth rights and beside Europe I don't think any other continent has youth rights groups.

It shouldn't be a crime to be young

The spirit of revolution that flooded our country during the 60's and 70's didn't die out but sadly became dorimant during the 80's but awoke again during the 90's and is rising during the 2000's and it will fly again changing our country until it's truly becomes the land of the free and home of the brave freeing everyone because nobody is free until everybody is free

Us minors, teens, children, youth, or whatever you like to call us are we not citizens and human beings and if we are how come we not treated like it

What we need is a bunch of youth rights supporters and youth rights organizations from all over the world to come together and unite, then we need to create an orginization surrounding everyone uniteing

I was thinking that It could be a organization that is both a union of youth rights organizations and its own youth rights organization…

First I think we should track down some youth rights organizations and some youth rights supporters abroad.

I think making youth rights international should be a definate long term goal! Right now our funds aren't the best, but I believe we can make it happen! I think all the youth involved in this organization have the potential to make it great, we just have to explore our options.
