Um, Berkeley is tiny compared to NYC. How many students do you have? NYC has over 1.5 million to recruit from, plus non-students of course. And that is just within the limits of the city. We also will be recruiting in the rest of the NYC metro area. Long Island is one of the most populous places in the country, so are the downstate suburbs. The metro area overall has about 18 million people living in it. So we have a slight advantage when it comes to that. But I'm sure you will do well anyway. You've got a good head start on organizing.

“But let it be considered, that he did not mean a real and generous love of our country, but that pretended patriotism which so many, in all ages and countries, have made a cloak of self-interest.” – James Boswell

"How did the party of Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy drift so far from the foreign policy and national security principles and policies that were at the core of its identity and its purpose? . . . A great Democratic secretary of state, Dean Acheson, once warned 'no people in history have ever survived, who thought they could protect their freedom by making themselves inoffensive to their enemies.' This is a lesson that today's Democratic Party leaders need to relearn." – Joe Lieberman

I was wondering, how exactly do we go to a buisness and ask them for money for this? I mean are there papers we get showing were an official non-profit, or do we show a membership card or something. And how do they have proof that its a tax right off? Sorry if its stupid questions but I really dont know. And the new (soon to be) Mid-Michigan chapter will be in the running. I just need to get a few more members (I have around four or five now and its the 2nd day).
