I've been looking for discussions about troubled teens and I found your thread. Thanks for the link.
Troubled teens are those teens that have various difficulties at homes or at their schools. They are considered special people with special need that is why most of them are separated from normal students in traditional schools. If your teen is having issues that need to be addressed immediately, reach out for support from local counselors and troubled youth programs that are available in your area. Here is a great website I found that might help troubled teens get their lives back on track.

Theraputic Boarding Schools, Christian Boarding Schools, Summer Camps, Reminds me of a particular Phineas and Ferb Episode. It I was a "troubled teen", I would not want you to up and randomly place me in a boarding school that pretty much has a 70% chance of trying to kill me. Yes there are boarding schools that don't relentlessly torture, would i take my chances trying to find one? No. If I was a troubled teen, the best place you could put me is unschool.

Really a nice information you have share with the community. Many parents would love to know more about parenting troubled teens. I am reading and got lot of information about troubled teens help options.
