Our Internship Program
Live or study near Washington, DC? Want to get experience in the non-profit world? Want to help out a good cause? Want to do more with an internship then open constituent mail? Then NYRA is for you.
NYRA is always looking for talented, passionate interns to work at our national office. You can get college credit, high school service hours and a lot of very valuable experience. We are looking for interns of all ages and experience levels, and we are especially interested in individuals who are self-starters and able to manage their own projects.
Internship hours are flexible and projects can be tailored to your strengths and interests. In addition to our more customized internship projects we offer a Development Internship and a Grassroots Organizing Internship. Both fill essential, ongoing needs for the organization.
To apply, please email [email protected] about a month before you’d like to start with the subject line “NYRA internship.” Let us know when you’d like to do your internship, which youth rights issues interest you most, and what type of work interests you. Feel free to attach a resume!
